Manuscript – Compositions on the Laws of Shechita with Illustrations – Yemen, the 19th Century
Manuscript, contains two compositions of the laws of Shechita and Trefot. Yemen, the 19th century.
A. The book "Margalit Tovah", the laws of Shechita and Trefot. The book is a combination of the book "Zivchei Shelamim" by Rabbi Yehuda Divan and compilations from the book "Mizbach Todah" by the Maharitz of Yemen, Kuntras Sha'arei Kedusha by the Maharitz, laws from the book HaTur by Rabbi Ya'akov Ben Asher, the laws of Shechita by Maimonides and compilations from Sefer Mordechai. Commentary and responsa titled "Tzofnat Pa'ane'ach", by an unknown writer. At its end, Kuntras "Dinei HaRe'ah".
The book contains illustrations related to the laws discussed by the book.
The book is missing its beginning and starts on leaf 22 to the end. The headings "Margalit Tovah" contains red decorations.
B. Commentary by Rabbi Sa'adia Gaon on the laws of Shechita. Throughout the book, long footnotes commenting on the laws.
A complete composition. Leaves 69-128. Red decorations.
