Unique collection of 88 postcards with musical notes and words for Hebrew and Zionist songs.
Songwriters and poets whose works appear on the postcards include: Chaim Nachman Bialik, Levin Kipnis, Naftali Herz Imber, Emanuel Pogazov, Nissan Melamed, M. Zeira, D. Kamzu, Yitzchak Shenberg, M. Rabinowitz, Sarah Levi, Yariv Ezrachi, Y. Kamzon, Levi Ben-Amitai, Y. Pechman, Morris Rosenfeld, Katzenelson, Gutman, M. Weiner, Sh. Bass, Ch. Goitin, G. Parnas, Sh, Kaiser, Y. Sheinberg, Y. Volbe, A. Perlmutter, Yehudah Karni and Sh. Rozovski.
The songs include: "HaTikvah," songs for Purim, Pesach, Tu BiShvat, Shabbat; songs for learning about cleanliness; songs of HaShomer and HaKibbutz; songs of Jerusalem and Tel Aviv; pioneer songs, immigrant songs; musical instruments; Zionism; songs of journeys, landscapes, nature and outings; songs of animals, seasons and weather; birthday songs and children's game songs.
Most of the songs are in Hebrew; a few are in Yiddish. Some of the songs are from scriptures, some are original compositions and some are translations.
Average size: 15x11 cm. Overall fine-very fine condition. Some of the postcards are doubles. The postcards are placed in an album.
