PUCCINI GIACOMO: (1858-1924) Italian Composer. An excellent A.M.Q.S., `Giacomo Puccini´, a large and good signature example, to a 4to page removed from an autograph album. Puccini has penned a three bars musical quotation which he entitles La Boheme, adding also beneath the quote `Mi chiamano Mimi´, corresponding to the well-known soprano aria of the first act of La Boheme. Dated in Milan, 10th January 1897, in his hand. Very small overall age wear and small toning to the borders, otherwise VG £800-1200 La Boheme is an opera composed by Giacomo Puccini. The premiere, conducted by Arturo Toscanini, was in Turin on 1st February 1896. Less than a year before the present quote was signed.
