... חברו... רבינו יהודה החסידזצ"ל. עם הפירוש [מאת ר' דוד אפטרוד]... הוספנו... [פירוש] ברית עולם... [מאת הרב] חיים יוסף דוד אזולאי יצ"ו... והדפסנו כעת תקונים והשמטות מקונטרס ברית עולם שהיה נדפס מהמחבר הנ"ל בסוף הספר ונקרא בשם שומר הברית. והצגנו כל דבר במקומו.

Rabbi Yeruchem Fischel Karelenstein, son-in-law of Rabbi Menachem Mendel Porush Shuv (שו"ב). For about a dozen years he was from the great educators and leader of the Talmud Torah "Rabbi Akiva" in the Zichron Meir neighborhood in the center of Bnei Brak, which is called today by the name of the Talmud Torah "Yapik Tevunah - Zichron Meir". His son Rabbi Dov Tzvi Karelenstein was Rosh Yeshivat Grodno in Ashdod.
