Amulet for Protection for Baby and New Mother Entirely Handwritten by the Greatest Kabbalist of the Recent Generation, Rabbi Yitzchak Kaduri
A person who wrote an amulet which was effective three times, for three people, is established as one whose amulets are true and effective ... (Shabbat 61b)
Lengthy amulet [82 words] handwritten entirely by the greatest kabbalist of our generation, Rabbi Yitzchak Kaduri. Rare item, in excellent condition, placed in an elegant frame integrated with parchment.
Written on the amulet: "May it be Your will that You act for the sake of Your mercy and Your lovingkindness, and for the sake of Your holy Names, that you have mercy and compassion on this newborn ... and the merit of these holy, pure Names be of assistance to benefit and protect him and his mother and to save them ... that they not approach their home and not damage this child nor his mother, amen, may it be Your will." Rabbi Kaduri then adds holy Names so that the amulet will do its work.
The kabbalist Rabbi Yitzchak Kaduri [1899-2006] - as a child he even knew and saw Ben Ish Chai - received Torah and kabbalah from the sages of Bavel [Iraq] and the sages of Jerusalem, to which he ascended in 1922. He made a living binding books during his first years in Jerusalem, and he studied in the Beit-El yeshivah as well as in Porat Yosef in the Old City. Over the years, his greatness in kabbalistic wisdom became known, and many made their way to his home for blessing and counsel, and to receive amulets for salvation. He passed away at a very old age - over 100 years old - in 2006, and tens of thousands of Jews from across the spectrum attended his funeral.
Rabbi Kaduri was considered the highest authority on amulets in recent generations, and his amulets were known for their effectiveness. He authored Pitchei Olam - a five-volume composition on amulets. As it says in the Gemara: "Expert person, and expert amulet, all amulets he writes will be effective forever."
Dimensions: Amulet: 75x45 mm. Including the frame: 22x24 cm.
Very fine condition. Rolling marks in the amulet.
