TANEYEV SERGEI: (1856-1915) Russian Composer & Pianist, the most trusted musician amongst the friends of Pyotr Ilyich Tchiakovsky. Signed and inscribed 4to edition of the printed sheet music for 2 Quartets for Mixed Chorus (Op. 24) featuring The Monastery on the Kazbek and To Adele, published in Moscow and printed in Cyrillic and German. Signed and inscribed by Taneyev in Cyrillic to the head of the front cover and dated 15th March 1909 in his hand. Together with Alexander Gretchaninov (1864-1956) Russian Composer. Two folio pages removed from copies of sheet music, one of them from Kurochka riabka (Op. 85), each individually signed and inscribed in Cyrillic by Gretchaninov and dated 1928 and 1930 in his hand.
