CRESCENTINI GIROLAMO: (1762-1846) Italian Castrato. A sopranista Singer, Teacher and Composer. After a masterly execution in Vienna of the Romeo's Prayer aria, Napoleon conferred upon him the Order of the Iron Crown of Lombardy and appointed him singing teacher of the Imperial Family. Very rare A.L.S., `Crescentini´, in the third person to the heading, one page, 4to, Collegio di Musica, Friday 22nd May 1839, to F. Walehy, in Italian. Crescentini states `Crescentini presents his most respectful regards to Prof. Sign. F.
