Photograph by Gessford & Van Brunt of the Prince Studio, Union Square, New York, and bearing their imprint to the lower mount. Signed ('W F Cody, ''Buffalo Bill''') by Cody in bold, dark fountain pen ink to the lower photographer's mount.
