AN EARLY TURKISH OTTOMAN CHAINMAIL SHIRT, 16 CEN.
A mail shirt 15th–16th century, possibly Turkish, Istanbul or Iranian. The shirt has long sleeves, v-neck opening. Wide long cut out from the hem up the center of the front and back. The mail is constructed of forge-welded riveted links, with four riveted links passing through each solid one.
Dimensions: H: 40 in., (102 cm.)
Condition: Very good overall with a few links missing
