Chesnokova Aleksandra Semenovna (1908-1988)
Artist, painter, Member of the Leningrad Union of Artists. Before moving to Leningrad in 1930, she studied at VKHUTEMAS. She took part in exhibitions since 1935, exhibiting her works together with the works of the leading masters of the visual arts of Leningrad. She worked mainly in the genre of thematic paintings and portraits. In the pre-war years, she taught at the Leningrad Art and Pedagogical School, at the Secondary Art School, at the LIZHSA. The artist's works are kept in numerous museums and private collections in Russia and abroad.
