Zankovskiy Ilya Nikolaevich (1832-1919).
Studied at Academy of Arts in Petersburg (1862-1863). After graduating from Academy of Arts moved to the Caucasus. Since 1888 participated in many exhibitions of the “Society for the Mutual Aid for Caucasian Artists”, etc. Since late 1880-s gave lessons at Drawing school of the “Caucasian Society for Encouragement of Fine Arts” and the School of Painting and Sculpture. The artist’s works are exhibited in the State Russian Museum, in many regional museums, as well as in private collections in Russia and abroad.
