Tsyplakov Viktor Grigorievich (1915, the Ryazan Region – 1986, Moscow).
The People’s Artist of RSFSR, the corresponding member of the Academy of Arts of USSR, the honored worker of arts of RSFSR, the double laureate of the Stalin prize (1949, 1950). He studied at the studio by G.М. Shegal, in the polygraphic college in Moscow (since 1932), in the Surikov Artistic Institute. Since 1947, he has become the head of his personal studio, and since 1948 he has been a senior teacher in the Surikov Moscow State Artistic Institute; professor (1962). He participated in performance of an important governmental order for painting «Advanced People in Kremlin» (together with V.P. Yefanov, S.I. Dudnik, Y.P. Kugach). The artist’s personal exhibitions were held in Moscow in 1956 and 1986. Works by V.G. Tsyplakov are kept in the Tretyakov State Gallery, the State Russian Museum, the State Painting Museum and other leading museums of the world.
