Batunkov Konstantin Александрович (1959)
Soviet and Russian artist, painter and graphic artist. He graduated from the Moscow aviation Institute. He studied at private studios in Moscow and on a Saint-Henri scholarship in France. Since 1983-member of the Union of artists of the USSR. Member Of the international Union of artists (IFA). In 2003, his works were awarded the 2nd prize, and in 2005 — the Grand Prix of the Krasnoyarsk Museum Biennale. In 2015, he became an Honorary member of the Russian Academy of Arts. Since 1978, he has participated in exhibitions. Since 1985, he became part of the Mitkov subculture, which preached simplicity and peacefulness ("Mitki don't want to win anyone!"). Since 2002, Batynkov has been exhibiting solo. The works are in the collections of the GTG, NCSI, MMSI, ART4 Museum, New Museum (Saint Petersburg).
