Burin Lev Nickolaevich (born in 1943, Bogorodsk, the Nizhniy Novgorod Region).
Studied at Institute of Arts, Sculpture and Architecture named after I.E. Repin under Yu. M. Neprintsev (1969-1975). In 1975 moved to Medvezhyegorsk where he founded a children art school. For pedagogical activity in 2004 Burin received the State Award "Honorable worker of the RF Cultural Affairs” granted by the President. Since 1975 – a member of the Karelia Union of Artists. Since 1977 regularly participates in republic and all-Soviet exhibitions. The artist's works are exposed in many regional museums and private collections.
