Matushevsky Yury Vladimirovich (1930, the Kemerovo Province – 1999, Vyshni Volochek).
Honoured Painter of Russia. In 1949 he graduated from the Irkutsk Artistic College, then, from the Mukhina Leningrad Institute of Applied Art. He participated in the provincial, regional and all-union exhibitions since 1957. The artist took part in numerous international auctions in Japan, Italy, USA, Great Britain, Belgium, France, Luxemburg, Sweden. In 2004 the paintings by Matushevsky were sold at the Christie’s and Sotheby's auctions.
