Arkhipov Ivan Dmitrievich (born in 1926, Kusinovo village, the Kaluga Region).
Arkhipov I.D. is significant as a graphic artist. Studied at Moscow Secondary Art School named after N.V. Tomskiy (till 1945) and Moscow State Art Institute named after V.I. Surickov under B.A. Dekhteryov (1945-1951). Made illustrations and formatted books for the Detgiz State Children Publishing House, such as “Homer’s Poems” (1953), “Fathers and Sons” by I.S. Turgenev (1955), “The Song of Roland” (1962), “Wild Dog Dingo or the Story about the First Love” by R.I. Fraerman (1963). The one-man show of his collection took place in Moscow in 1954. The artist’s works are exposed in regional museums and private collections.
