Pavlov Semen Andreevich (1893-1941).
Soviet painter, graphic artist, engraver, teacher. In the years 1917-1922. studied under D. Kardovsky, K. Petrov-Vodkin, V. Shukhaev. Member of the association "Community of Artists" (1922-1927), one of the founding members of the Leningrad branch of the AHRR-AHR (since 1924) taught at VKHUTEMAS (since 1932) He took part in the exhibitions of the Academy of Arts, "Sixteen", the SSX, on the tenth and fifteenth anniversary of the Red Army (Moscow, 1933) and others. The artist’s works are stored in the State Russian Museum, State Tretyakov Gallery, the Central Museum of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, the State Central Museum of Modern History of Russia, and in private collections in Russia and abroad.
