Serebryaniy Iosif Alexandrovich (1907, the Chernigov Province – 1979, Leningrad).
Studied at the studio under M.M. Guzhavin in Poltava (1922-24), Leningrad School of Arts and Crafts (1924-1927), Academy of Arts (1927-1931). Lived in Leningrad. Regularly exhibited since 1925. Participated in the All-Union exhibitions in Moscow in 1947, 1949, 1950, in the exhibition “The Soviet Russia” (Moscow 1960), etc. Gave lessons at Repin Institute in 1948-51, 1954-79. In 1931-1934 worked as a stage designer. The master’s works are exhibited in many private collections in Russia and abroad.
