Courierov Mikhail Mikhailovich (1926-2004, Moscow)
Artist-painter. From his youth he was engaged in self-education in painting and art. Love for painting was instilled by A.A. Glazunov, a famous miniaturist painter. Later, in the 1950s, he studied at the Fine Arts Studio of the Hammer and Sickle plant (artistic director - BP Korotkov). From 1953 to 1986, while working in the expeditionary motor depot of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR, he traveled all over the Soviet Union (Central Asia, Pamir, Caucasus, Far North, Yakutia and central regions of the country). Over the years of work, he created a huge sketch material, on which he painted pictures. Participant of the Moscow city exhibition of amateur and applied art of workers and employees in 1953 and the First All-Union exhibition of artistic creativity of workers and employees in 1954, author of sketches in the Tbilisi Museum of Folk Art, participant in various exhibition expositions and organizer of personal exhibitions. The artist's works are in private collections in Russia and abroad.
