Fedorovich Vladimir Nickolaevich (1871, Oryol region – 1928, Leningrad).

He studied at the Odessa Drawing School and at the Imerial Academy of Arts in St. Petersburg (1894 – 1900), where A. Kuindzhi and A. Kiselev were his teachers. Having presented Les and Utro, he was officially qualified as artist. In 1900-1910s he participated in the Spring Exhibitions of the Academy of Arts, in the exhibitions of the Moving Art Exhibitions Association (1916) and of the Moscow Society of Art Lovers. After the 1917 revolution, the artist participated in the First Free Exhibition (1919), the exhibitions of the the Association of Artists of the Revolutionary Russia and the Jubilee Exhibition of Fine Arts. Among other things, Fedorovich worked in the field of decorative and church wall painting (e.g. Saratov cathedral) and taught at the Drawing School of St. Petersburg Society for Encouragement of Artists as well as at the arts-and-crafts school which was founded on its basis after 1917. In his work, the artist continued the landscape traditions of I. Levitan and A.Kuindzhi. He was an active member of the Kuindzhi Society, the Society of Russian Artists and the Yekaterinodar Artist Society. The artist’s works are in the museum of the Academy of Arts, in museums of Krasnodar, Taganrog, and Saratov.
