Gordon Grigori Meerovich (1909, Kovno, Lithuania – 1990, Moscow).
An Artist. A member of the USSR Union of Artists (since 1938). Studied at Vitebsk Art College (till 1929), then at Moscow Polygraphic Institute (1929-34) under S.V. Gerasimov and A.A. Deineka. Till 1929 lived in Vitebsk, then in Moscow. Since 1927 regularly participated in regional, republic and All-Soviet exhibitions. Headed the Art Party Organization under the Moscow Department of the Soviet Artists Union. The artist’s works are exposed in museums of Moscow, Nizhniy Novgorod as well as in private collections of Russia, England and the USA.
