Kokurin Valery Georgievich (born in 1930, Vladimir - 2019).
In 1940-es studied in painting studio at Vladimir house of people’s creativity under professor N.P. Sychev. Together with V. Ya. Yukin and K.N. Britov was one of the founders of an extremely original Vladimir landscape painting school emerged at turn of 1950-es and 1960-es. This school contributed a lot to the development of XX century Russian art. V.G. Kokurin’s one-man show took part in 2002 in Murom. The artist’s works are kept in Murom Museum of Art and History, in Vladimir Museum of Art and History, in private collections in Russia and abroad.
