Lapin Lev Pavlovich (1898, Moscow – 1962, Saint-Petersburg).
Studied under N.E. Radlov. Was a friend with the family of K. Malevich, kept a part of his archive, was a successor of the traditions of his art. 4 works of Lev Lapin were sold at Sothbey’s auctions in April 1989 and May 19990. His works are exhibited in the State Russian museum, and were exhibited at the exhibition “Rings of Malevich” in 2000. Also the works of the artist are in collections of N. and N. Lobanov-Rostovsky, Gmurzhinskaya Gallery and in many foreign collections.
