Golovin Aleksandr Yakovlevich (1863-1930)
Studied at the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture (1881-1890) under V.E. Makovsky, V.D. Polenova, I.M. Pryanishnikov, at the F. Colarossi Academy (Paris) with J.-E. Blanchet (1889), in Vitti's workshop with R. Collen and O. Merson (1892). In 1890 he received the title of artist, since 1912 - academician, full member of the Academy of Arts (St. Petersburg). Since 1897 he has been working in the theater. From 1901 - chief decorator of the Imperial Theaters (St. Petersburg). A member of the World of Art association (since 1902), a member of the Union of Russian Artists (since 1903), a participant in exhibitions of the Moscow Association of Artists (since 1893), the Association of Itinerants (1893, 1895), the Moscow Society of Art Lovers (1894-1898), The World art "(since 1899), " 36 artists "(1902), the Union of Russian Artists (1903-1910, 1916), the New Society of Artists (1907, 1908) and others.
