Signed and dated lower left. Certificate of P.M. Tretiakov Independent Research Examination. The funds from the sale of the painting will be used to organise exhibitions of "Splendour of Russian artists from the Vladimir Pešić's collection" in Serbia, Italy and Congo.
Sosnovsky Arseniy Petrovich (1895-1967).
Marine painter, landscape painter. Took private lessons from A.V. Hansen. Studied at Kiev University. In 1920 he emigrated to Yugoslavia. He taught drawing at the gymnasium in Cetinje (Montenegro). He exhibited his works at exhibitions in Zagreb, Prague, Paris and Brussels, participated in group exhibitions in Belgrade and Florence. The works are kept in the Maritime Museum of Kotor, the palace of King Nicholas in Cetinje, galleries in Zagreb, private collections in Croatia, Russia, Montenegro and other museums.
