Vinogradov Leonid Nickolayevich (born in 1938, Kostroma Region - 2021).
He studied in the Kostroma Art College in 1956-1961 under A.P. Belykh. He paints landscape pictures of the ‘no-chernozem zone’. Following the realistic traditions of Russian landscape painting, he tries to blend genre into landscape. He became a member of the Artists Union of the USSR in 1970. Since 1968 he actively participates in zonal, republican and all-union art exhibitions. The artist had one-man shows in Kostroma in 1975, 1978, 1988, in Yaroslavl in 1989, in Tula in 1990. The artist’s works are in the Fine Art Museums in Kostroma, Yaroslavl, Tula, Novosibirsk; in private collections in Russia, as well as in England, Germany, Spain, and Japan.
