Volkova Lyudmila Evtikheevna (born 1938)
Sculptor. Member of the St. Petersburg Union of Artists since 1972. She graduated from the Taurida Art School in 1961. She continued her education at the Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. I.E. Repin (1961-1969). For her diploma work "Young Lenin", presented at the exhibition "Lenin's Anniversary - Mastery and Search for the Young" in 1969, she was awarded a Diploma of the 1st degree. Since 1969, Volkova L. E. was assigned to work in the creative group of the sculptural plant in Leningrad. Since 1968 she has been a constant participant of exhibitions in St. Petersburg (Leningrad), All-Union, Foreign and international. In the 70-90s. Volkova Lyudmila performed original works at the LFZ: portrait compositions: “N. Makarova, G. Ulanova", "L. Turishchev. In 1975, this work was presented in bronze at the exhibition "Mostra artisti dell'URSS 1975" in Italy). Other original works were also performed at the LFZ: the ballet composition "Giselle", "Gymnast sitting with a hoop", "Woman with a child", "Ballet", "Boy sitting on a ball". In 1996 work at the LFZ was resumed: “Three gymnasts”, “Gymnast with a ball”, “Embroiderer”, etc. For the “Olympic Games -80”, 5 works on a sports theme were cast in bronze at the Monumentsculptura plant.
