Soviet and Russian cartoon director and animator. People's Artist of the Russian Federation. Laureate of the USSR State Prize. Most of the works he created while working at the Soyuzmultfilm studio. Exhibitions of Yuri Norstein's drawings were held in France, Russia, Japan, Israel, and the USA.
