Perepletchikov Vasili Vasilevich (1863 – 1918).
Painter of landscapes. Studied at Moscow College of Arts, Sculpture and Architecture under I.I. Shishkin and V.D. Polenov. In his landscapes he developed a national, typical motive of Russian nature. Founder of the Russian Artists Society. Participated in exhibitions of the Moscow Society of Art Lovers (1884-1885, 1887-1889, 1890-1900, 1908), Association of Itinerant Art Exhibitions (1893-1901), Moscow Association of Painters (1893, 1895, and 1899), etc. The artist’s works can be found in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum and private collections.
