Karl (August) Andreevich Fischer (1859-after 1923) was a Prussian citizen and a famous Moscow photographer. The photographer's creative heyday was in the 1890s and 1900s, when he collaborated with all theaters in Moscow, shooting scenes from plays and actors. In 1892, Fischer opened an artistic phototype, zincography and photolithography "for all kinds of publications". One of Fischer's great beginnings at this time was the phototypic publication of catalogues and albums of art exhibitions.
