The "Guide to Peterhof" was published for the 200th anniversary of Peterhof in 1909. The guide was intended to provide a brief historical sketch of Peterhof, to give a description of the modern city of the beginning of the XX century, taking into account the changes that have occurred. The book contains informative illustrative material. "M. I.`, this is Mikhail Mikhailovich Izmailov (1873-1937), inspector of the Peterhof Men's Gymnasium of Emperor Alexander II, teacher of Russian history, after the February Revolution was a member of the city management committee, in Soviet times worked in the art and historical commission of Peterhof museums.
