Edition on coated paper, with numerous illustrations in the text. With a parallel text in Russian and French. The book is in its native publisher's binding. The "Guide to Peterhof" was published for the 200th anniversary of Peterhof in 1909. The guide was intended to provide a brief historical sketch of Peterhof, to give a description of the modern city of the beginning of the XX century, taking into account the changes that have occurred. The book contains informative illustrative material. "M. I.`, this is Mikhail Mikhailovich Izmailov (1873-1937), inspector of the Peterhof Men's Gymnasium of Emperor Alexander II, teacher of Russian history, after the February Revolution was a member of the city management committee, in Soviet times worked in the art and historical commission of Peterhof museums.
