1 engraving - King David, with the signature: Simon Ushakov was famous in 7188. The book was prepared by Simeon Polotsky in 1878 to teach his elder brother Peter I. According to it, Peter Alekseevich himself studied literacy, and took M. Lomonosov as a model for versification. Simeon Polotsky's "Psalter of King David, with a rhyming quality evenly of the syllable and, of course, arranged according to various verse genera" is a poetic arrangement of the "Psalter of the King and the Prophet David", created in the period from February 4 to March 28, 1678 and published in the Upper Printing House in 1680. This work is an almost verbatim verse translation of the traditional Slavic text of the Psalter. Simeon himself noted that the creation of a poetic translation was guided by the desire to keep the traditional text as close as possible. Another desire of the author is to create a text that will not only be read, but also sung (later the author's desire was realized: the Russian outstanding composer Vasily Titov created music for the "Psalter Rhyming"). He began work on the work on February 4, 1678 and finished it on March 28. And in 1680, The Psalter was published as a separate book in Moscow in the Upper Printing House, which was organized by Simeon Polotsky himself in the Kremlin.
