Mikhail miropiev (1852-December 8, 1919, Ufa) was an ethnographer and author of books about the situation of Russian foreigners.


He was born in 1852 in the family of a clergyman.




He graduated from the Kazan theological Seminary and from 1874 to 1878 studied at the Kazan theological Academy, where he graduated with the degree of candidate of theology.




Appointed to the position of district inspector of the Orenburg school district. Along with him, the most notable experts in Islam were G. S. Sablukov, N. I. Ilminsky, E. A. Malov, N. p. Ostroumov, P. K. zhuse, M. G. Ivanov, A. A. Archangelsky, Ya. D.Koblov.




Since 1886, he taught history and geography at the Tashkent teachers ' Seminary. In 1888, he became the Director of this educational institution, and taught the subject "Pedagogy"to seminarians. On December 30, 1888, for his activity and research talent, he was awarded the order of St. Stanislaus, second class. Later, he was appointed Director of the Erivan teachers ' Seminary. 2.02.1916 in Ufa, was one of the initiators of the creation of the East Russian Society together with the Trustee of the Orenburg school district Alexey Derevitsky. Supported the government of A.V. Kolchak. He was arrested on 24.10.1919, and on 8.12.1919 was sentenced to capital punishment-execution by the Soviet authorities. Rehabilitated on 28.01.1993.
