Sefer Rosh David, innovations on the Torah, by Rabbi Chaim Yosef David Azulai, the Chida. The Press of Eliezer Shlomo of Italy, Mantova, [1776]. First ediiton. Rare. With handwritten glosses. 


[2], 164, 5 leaves. This is the only book that the Chida printed in Mantova. Ownership notations on the title page. An ownership notation "הרב הגדול מעוז ומגול כהה"ר מוהר"י מוסאפיא" on leaf 65 and an additional one on the last leaf. Several glosses, some of them were cut during the binding process. Most of the glosses are signed "מגי"ן ס"ט". One gloss is signed "בל"ן איה"ב". On the flyleaf, the stamp of Rabbi Shiloh Raphael, Av Beis Din of the regional Beis Din of Jerusalem and the Rav of the Yiryas Moshe neighborhood of Jerusalem and a stamp of the library of his grandfather, Rabbi Yehuda Leib Hacohen Fischman [Maimon]. 


Renewed semi-leather binding with an inscription of the book's title and the word"Azulai". Stains. Moth holes. fair-good condition.
