Sefer Tefateh Aruch, moral poem on Chinut Hakever and punishments of hell with 185 stanzas, by the Divine Kabbalist Rabbi Moshe Zacuto, with the meaning of the words and an elucidation by Rabbi Aviad Sar Shalom Bazila, and with Sefer Eden Aruch, a poem on the Garden of Eden with 275 stanzas, by Rabbi Yaakov Daniel Olamo, and with a Yiddish translation by Rabbi Moshe ben Rabbi Matisyahu Segal. [2], 72 leaves. At its end, part of the introduction of Tikunei Shovavim by Rabbi Moshe Zacuto. Stamps of "Yair Madar" and an owner's signature on the title page: "Aharon Neihois of Boimbach" and "Yuda Konig".
Rabbi Yair ben Rabbi Yosef Madar Halevi (passed away in 1916) a goldsmith who immigrated from Yemen in 1909 and was one of the founders of the Sha'arayim neighborhood of Rechovot. At first, worked as a salaried farmer and then as an independent one. Held public offices, refusing to be paid for his work. His son, rabbi Zecharya (1887-1966) was Rav of Kfar Marmork and Shchunat Ephraim.
New binding with gilt lettering. Stains. Moth holes. A tear and taping to the last leaf, affecting the text. Fair-good condition.
