Medallion - The Sanhedrin of Napoleon Bonaparte, France 1806
A medallion commemorating the assembly of the Sanhedrin by Napoleon. [France, 1806]. Design: Depaulis (interior) and Dupres (back). Signed on both sides. bronze
Interior: Napoleon's portrait and the inscription "Napoleon Emp. Et Roii" [Napoleon - Emperor and King]. Reverse: Napoleon holds the LoChot HaBrit that have just been handed over to him by Moshe (kneeling in front of him, with horns on his head).
