Cover for Shabbat Challot - Handmade. Europe, Early 20th Century
A velvet cover for the Shabbat challot. Embroidered by hand. Cotton and gold threads.
On the top the words "Hamotzi lechem min ha'aretz" are embroidered, in the center are a pair of lions with their tongues hanging out. In the center are the numbers of the ten commandments.
Size: 47x47 cm.
Frayed lining, frayed threads, mainly in the center of the cover.
Moderate condition.
