Vera Livanova (Russian, 1910-1998) unique Soviet original mixed media painting on cardboard, an original maquette for a poster, May Day (1 Maya), 1955. Signed and dated lower right. Livanova, a Soviet artist, painter, easel graphic artist, poster artist. Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR (1938). The author of the first poster that proclaimed the defeat of Nazi Germany.
Dimensions: 40 X 27 in.
Condition: Overall condition good. There are several tears around the edges.
