ANTIQUE CHINESE MING DYNASTY SWATOW CERAMIC PLATE
An antique Chinese, Ming Dynasty, Swatow ceramic plate. The interior of the plate is adorned with hand enameled floral, foliage and foliate scroll motifs, and calligraphy in the center. Raised on a low pedestal. Circa: 17th century. Swatow ware or Zhangzhou ware is a loose grouping of mainly late Ming dynasty Chinese export porcelain wares initially intended for the Southeast Asian market.
