LTD ITALIAN AMERICAN LITHOGRAPH BY OSCAR DE MEJO
Oscar De Mejo, Italian, American, 1911 to 1992, a limited edition color lithograph on paper, Harlem Globetrotters, 1979. Signed in pencil and an impressed stamp, lower right. Numbered 189 of 250, lower left. This lithograph was commissioned by the late John Kluge when he was the owner of the Harlem Globetrotters. Oscar de Mejo artworks are a mixture of the naive and the sophisticated whimsical depictions of American life with irrational and incongruous details that fill his works prod both the conscious and unconscious mind.
