ATTR ANTONIO SEGUI ARGENTINE PORTRAIT INK PAINTING
Attributed to Antonio Segui, Argentine, 1934 to 2022, ink painting on paper, The Bad Light, depicting a portrait of a man, 1998. Signed, titled and dated, lower left. Framed. Born in the Argentine province of Córdoba, Antonio Segui studied painting in both Argentina and Europe. He had his first one man show in 1957. Seguís abstract style became more figurative as his work matured during the early 1960s. The evolution of his work reveals an increasing number of protagonists that show greater movement and anxiety. In 1991 he was honored with a major retrospective exhibition in Buenos Aires at the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes. Modern Latin American Fine Art, Figurative Paintings, and Collectibles. One of a kind artwork.
