A limited edition photograph by Pavel Antonov. Portrait of Slava Mogutin, born 1974, a New York-based Russian artist and queer activist. Signed by the photographer in the lower right. Titled in the lower left. Dated 2000, New York, and numbered 1 out of 20 on the backside. Unframed. The lot also features a photo portrait of an unknown woman, unsigned. Pasha Antonov, born 1962, is a contemporary art photographer, portrait artist, and author of texts and interviews with prominent figures in contemporary culture. The basis of Antonovs photography methodology is their complete naturalness. The main concept is the refusal to work with Photoshop and other similar computer photo editors.
