Attributed to Nandalal Bose, Indian, 1882 to 1966, a mixed media painting on paper depicting a religious genre scene with deity child. Signed and stamped lower right. Framed. Nandalal Bose was one of the pioneers of modern Indian art and a key figure of Contextual Modernism. A pupil of Abanindranath Tagore, Bose was known for his Indian style of painting.
