MOTA URGEIRO (b. 1946)
Oil on wood, entitled "Coimbra", signed front and back. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by the painter.Dimension (stain): 30x50 cm. Dimensions (gilded frame): 65x85 cm. Mota Urgeiro (n. 1946), was born in the village of Barroca, municipality of Fundão, in 1946 and soon discovered the taste and fascination for the Arts. He went through the watercolor, but it is in oil painting that he can transmit the feelings and emotions of the landscapes that inspire him.He llived and worked in Lisbon and in 1972 received an honorable mention attributed by the Secretary of State for Information and Tourism, former National Secretariat of Information. Inspired by many Portuguese artists and various impressionists, it is the spatula and oil that shape its inspiration and make it so close to reality. His work has been exhibited a little throughout the country, from Lisbon to Coimbra and Lagos, passing through Caldas da Rainha, Leiria and Portimão.
