WWII, Douglas Bader signed 25th Anniversary of the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II FDC. This Benham cover has two post marks on the front dating 31st May 1978 plus a stamp to note it was flown in phantom aircraft from Royal Air Force Wattisham in the fly-past Buckingham Palace to mark Her Majestys Birthday and the 25th anniversary of her coronation. This cover comes with Battle of Britain information insert. Bader has signed the front of the cover in blue ink. On the reverse is another postmark: Royal Air Force 3rd June 1978 Wattisham. Group Captain Sir Douglas Robert Steuart Bader, CBE, DSO and Bar, DFC and Bar, DL, FRAeS (21 February 1910 - 5 September 1982) was a Royal Air Force flying ace during the Second World War. He was credited with 22 aerial victories, four shared victories, six probable's, one shared probable and 11 enemy aircraft damaged. Good condition.
