An Extremely Rare Continental Wood and Brass Gentleman's Gadget Walking Cane with a Traveling Hanukkah Lamp, Early-Mid 19th Century
Description: Stained wood cane with a wide, decorative brass band before the curved wood handle. The handle threaded and inside a secret compartment. The compartment contains a cylindrical case held together by two bands, which opens to reveal a miniature traveling hanukkah lamp. The lamp fronted by a detachable row of oil sockets. Including a mountable servant light, stopper screws. The backplate or lid engraved in Hebrew "הנרות הללו קדש הן".

Length of cane: 97 cm; length of lamp: 13.5 cm
