A Rare Brass Hanukkah Lamp, The Netherlands, Early 19th Century
Description: The arch shaped backplate pierced, cut hammered and embossed by a central oval medallion flanked by two lions and topped by crown decorated with flowers. Fronted by a row of oil pans, resting on a rectangular, detachable tray, raised on two cylindrical sconces which, when detached, serve as shabbat candle sockets. Beneath the scones a rectangular tray connected to the backplate and raised on four ball supports.
