A QUADRI-PARTITE ICON SHOWING FOUR NATIVITIES WITH A SILVER BASMA Russian, 19th century (icon), Russian, St. Petersburg, 1879 (basma) Tempera on wood panel. Executed in bright colours on a gold ground. The borders overlaid with a silver basma engraved with strapwork. Marked with city hallmark, assayer’s mark, 84 standard and master’s mark. Minimally restored. 31 x 26.5 cm.
