"Hadibuk" – Collection of Photographs and Postcards, 1920s-30s
Fourteen photos, postcards and Real-Photo cards. Most of the photos are from Eastern Europe, [1920s]; two are from Germany or Austria, [1930s]. Amongst them, photos of actors who participated in the first performances of "Hadibuk" in Yiddish, in the 1920s by the "Vilner trupe" (the Vilnius Group) in Warsaw: Noah Nachbush, Eliyahu Stein, Joseph Bulov, Matityahu Kovalsky, Avraham Morawsky, Baruch Chemerinski, M. Leiserovich, and others. One photo is signed on the reverse "Fot. A. [Alter] Kacyzne". Average size 9X14 cm. Condition varies, fair-good.
