Rabbi Zelig Reuven Bengis (1864-1953) served as rabbi in Belarus and then as Ga’avad of the Charedi community in Jerusalem. He authored LiPalgut Reuven. Among his students were Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Auerbach and Rabbi Yosef Shalom Elyashiv.

Rabbi David HaLevi Jungreiz (1898-1972) was the Ra’avad of the Charedi Eda between 1968-1972. In 1931 he was appointed by Rabbi Yosef Haim Zonenfeld as a dayan of the Badatz. After the death of Rabbi Pinchas Epstein he succeeded him as Ra’avad and was famous for his very stringent attempts to avoid all pretenses of corruption—he refused to sit in court for anyone who had done anything for him in the past.

Rabbi Avraham Chaim Na'eh (1890-1954), the "Baal HaShiurim", was born in Hevron to Rabbi Menachem Mendel, an important Chabad chassid. At age 20 he left Israel for the yeshiva of the Rashab of Lubavitch, from which he continued to shlichut in Samarkand, where he became known to the Jews of Bukhara as well, for whom he became a holy man and many would travel for his blessings. Afterward he returned to Israel, where he became well-known for his book "Shiurei Torah" on middot and the weights and measurements of Chazal, which he converted to the units we use today. During World War I he went to Egypt. When he returned to Israel he served as rabbi of the Bukharim neighborhood of Jerusalem. He was a great posek of Jerusalem and an important Chabad chassid.
